April 3 – A Day of Reflection

This is a day of waiting. Consider spending some time today in silence and solitude, reflecting on how the disciples must have been feeling the day after the Crucifixion. They might have felt a confusing mix of grief, uncertainty, and fear, or perhaps, some of them were so overwhelmed they were just numb. They did not yet know the end of the story. But God did.

Read Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53. As you read, think about how God knew what would happen at the Crucifixion long before it occurred. Know that Jesus loves you and went through all this for you in order to be with you for all eternity, and anticipate the joy that is to come tomorrow.
